CHANNELLED FROM BENSON DOWNS 12.06.2008

Benson Downs-Reid. Our very wise Shih Tzu. Who has helped us to improve our intuitive communication with animals. Benson is one of our shining stars in the Animal Matters Teaching Team.

I asked my Shih-Tzu Benson for a message to give to our Advanced Animal Communication students. This is what he channelled to me:

“I have been waiting for the opportunity to talk to you about this for a very long time.
We are here because we choose to be. We have been spiritual long before man even understood the meaning of the word. We have come to show you the way, to enlighten you, and to help you. All beings on earth are equal, and everything in the universe is inter-connected. Humans are only beginning to realise this now; this has been so since the beginning of time.
Animal Communication is the everyday way to learn about Quantum Physics, we are all Quantum Physics in action. People need to look deep into their soul to find their truth. We animals have come to help you do this.
There is nothing that moves the human heart more than watching animals and nature go about their daily business, it is all so natural and uncomplicated. If you care to look, you will see how your life should be. If you observe us closely, you will learn about the important things in life. We do what we need to do and then move on, we don’t dwell on the things that happen in our world, we love the simple things in life, you should too. If you watched us and learned from what we do, your human world would be so much simpler, and life so much easier.
We are your equals, by treating us as anything less, you are devaluing yourselves, you are refusing to acknowledge the inter-connectedness of all living things. We have much to learn from each other. We are ready and willing, but are some of you?
Elaine: “How do we get ready and willing?”
Benson: “Open your heart and open your ears. Use your heart as your guidance system. When you hear things all around you during the day, ask your heart what is true from all that information. Keep what feels true close to you, discard the rest.
Don’t be afraid to follow your intuition. We animals know intuitively the difference between right and wrong, and we act on it. Humans generally do not do this, as their ego gets in the way and takes control.
DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TRUST YOURSELF.

If you all listen to yourselves, your heart, your intuition, you will not go far wrong. Do not worry about what others say or do – they are not you. Be true to yourself only. When you observe animals, you will see that we do what we want or need to do at any given time. We do not worry about what others say and think, we just act. Watch us, and you’ll see how it’s done.

FEAR IS A KILLER. Do not allow fear to stifle the light within you that is really you. Sometimes we animals know fear, but, we quickly come back into balance. Humans need to learn about balance. You are not very good at that, are you? Generally just careering along without any thought for the consequences.
Mother Nature generally has to bring back her own balance, which is not always pleasant for humans. If you all lived your lives with more consideration for every other living thing around you, Mother Nature would not need to be so extreme in re-balancing the planet. We animals, domestic and wild, work with Mother Nature all the time, as we are part of her, as are you.

Which brings us to our next job, of healing. We spend much of our life trying to help heal humans. This is necessary, as they do not “live in the now”. You all spend so much time worrying about materialism and things you can’t change, whether in the past or the future. You can make your own future, your own day, by your thoughts and your actions. Try to be more positive – be grateful for the good things in your lives, then focus on those. The more you focus on the good, the more grateful you are, and the more good things will happen, then our need to heal you may not be as great.

We love and respect you all for who you are. Please do the same for us. We do not judge you, we allow you to make mistakes. We don’t hold it against you – after all you’re only human. Try doing that with all your animals and your human friends, and see how you feel, and how they feel.

We all have so much to teach and you all have so much to learn. That’s all for now. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to speak to you. Please pass this message on to all those who will listen.

Au Revoir!!! I will speak with you again in the future.”

SALLY – A CELEBRATION OF HER LIFE

Sally
Birth date unknown – passed 23rd February 2010

There is one more star in the skies today. Our beautiful Sally Bear, Jack Russell Terrier Extraordinaire, finished her work on earth on Tuesday night and left us grieving, but peaceful – just like her passing.
She enriched our lives with her gentle and ladylike ways. Never one to push herself forward, she was sensitive but self –contained. No dramas, no fuss. Except for people passing, dogs passing, postmen calling, leaves falling from the trees – but that’s just a girl’s job, isn’t it??
Her abiding passion was food, food and more food. Titbits were usually taken with added fingers, unless we remembered to remind her “Gently….”, and even then there was often minor bloodshed (ours, never hers!). Mealtimes were the highlight of the day, and one of the advantages (to her) of her liver condition was that her wonderful vet Sue Armstrong had said she was to have four meals a day rather than two – they were supposed to be small but Sally made it clear that she needed large, so large it was. At the very end of her life, when dementia, and liver failure had taken so much from her, it was her one remaining joy.
She and her “sister”, terrier cross Tilly, came home to me and my then husband Martin, from North Clwyd Animal Rescue Centre on 18th August 2000. They had been found straying together, age unknown. Their needs and issues completely changed the path of my life – to preserve my sanity and theirs I studied gentle training methods, flower essences, energy therapies and finally came home again to animal communication, all through their guidance. They are responsible for the depth and variety of the toolkit now used by Animal Matters on a daily basis to help other animals and their people to find peace and personal development.
Sally has been a rock in my life; but not only for me. Her deep wisdom, steadfast support and unwavering loyalty to all concerned played a huge part in steering both me and my ex-husband through the storms of the major life changes which occurred five years ago, and which has now brought us all to a place approaching peace. She and Tilly made many sacrifices for this to happen, and they are SO much appreciated.
She also taught my new partner Elaine to love Jack Russells. Elaine’s previous experience of the breed was that they were just snappy and noisy – she quickly learned that only noisy was true (and even that not all the time), and her relationship with Sally quickly became very special.
As a valued member of the Animal Matters Teaching Team, there are so many stories of her successes – she left one particular student in no doubt that it was not necessary for either her or her photograph to be present, when she cut in on Tilly’s communication from the comfort of her bed in the next room!
Sal had only two terrors in her life – loud noises, which we sorted with the help of our own therapies plus Sue the vet’s ever-amazing homeopathy, and fear of pain – she had to be muzzled for any procedure at all, as she would literally fight for her life, totally against her usual calm and tolerant personality.
But she even used this to teach right to the last minute of her life. We knew she was failing fast, and that her quality of life and dignity was all but gone – but she was physically still vital, still able to run (in a shaky way), and to eat. Although I was 99% convinced we’d heard her right about it being time, I still had a worm of doubt – and I SO didn’t want her to struggle or fight, which had been the hallmark of every visit to the vet involving more than a consultation. When the moment came, and we lifted her on to the table wrapped in her blanket, she lay totally peaceful and trusting – she all but offered her leg for the needle. She confirmed to us all that the timing was totally right, and that her message had been heard correctly. There was sadness, of course – but Sue herself said – “There’s joy in this experience too”. There was.
All of the animals who have shared our lives have left us in no doubt that life continues eternally and communicates eternally, and that physical death is no more than a transition to a different level of being. It doesn’t stop the grief or the tears – but it holds its own comfort.
Sally made her transition with peace and love in her heart and a whole packet of the normally forbidden chocolate buttons in her tummy. We know she will continue to work with us, help us and love us, as we will her. We owe a massive debt of gratitude for all she has been and will be for us in the future. Thank you, darling angel dog, with all our being. We were so privileged to be part of your life, and of your passing.
With all our love, Mum Sue, Mum Elaine, Tilly, Benson and Rupert. XXXXXXXX

A tribute to Sally our beautiful Jack Russell Terrier. A sadly missed member of the Animal Matters Teaching Team. She was an excellent teacher of Intuitive Animal Communication. We have many students who will agree with this.
